As the leaves start to fall and the temperatures begin to get cooler, many hunters prepare for the 2005 deer season. Bow season opens this Thursday, September 15, 2005, and runs through January 15, 2006. It looks like this bow season will start like last years with warm temperatures and very little rain which will make hunting near water sources a key factor in having a successful early season.

Also, telechecking, checking your deer in by phone, is something new this year and will be much more convenient for many hunters.

The youth season opens on October 29, 2005 which will give many young hunters a chance to fill their tags before the regular gun season. Gun season opens on November 19 and runs through November 27, 2005 and a muzzleloading season starts November 28 and runs through December 7, 2005.
