NO 7th Grade Tutoring with Ms. Tyler TODAY!!! 

1.  Spring pictures will be taken on Wednesday, March 2nd.  Only students who return a picture form and payment will have their picture taken.  Pictures can also be ordered at mylifetouch.com and the form returned on picture day.  
2.  The deadline to take (and pass) your 10th quiz on the Twain/Truman books is Thursday, March 10th at 3 PM. DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE, PLEASE!
3.  Eighth grade students interested in trying out for high school cheerleading for the 2016-2017 school year can pick up a packet from Alice.
4.  This is the last week to order yearbooks! Yearbooks cost $20 and will be available to order until March 4th.
5. The YMCA is registering now for the Boys 9-10 and 11-12 year old baseball and the Girls 9-10 and 11-13 year old softball programs for this summer. Forms can be picked up at the YMCA or the Student Information Center in the Middle School. The registration deadline is March 9th.
6. Students interested in participating in Upward Soccer Program can find information at the Student Info Center.  
7. Any MS students interested participating in St. Louis University's Summer Reading Skills online program can find information at the Student Info Center.
8. IT'S BASEBALL SEASON!!!! WS Bears baseball shirt orders are now being taken. Information and order forms are at the Student Info Center. Orders are due Wednesday, March 9th.

Hershey bar at the second high school lunch.  This is enough to make a treat for a whole class of students!!!  Please help support FBLA members as we prepare to move on to State competitions.  Eight of our members qualified in thirteen events and we are really proud of them!

Reminder that this is the last week to sign up for Prom Strong. You can see Coach Pitts if you want to sign up by the end of school TODAY.


If at least 15 students sign up, we will take a pep bus to Mountain Grove on Saturday for the Lady Bears District Championship game against Houston. The bus will leave the new gym at 4:00 and game time is 5:00. No cost to ride the bus, but its $4 to get into the game. Sign-up sheet is at Miss Tina's window. Deadline to sign up is 3:00 TODAY. Go Lady Bears!
FBLA is selling chances on a 5 lb. Hershey bar to raise money to finance our State FBLA registrations. Tickets are $1 a piece or 6 for $5. See any FBLA member or contact Mrs. Pettit/Mrs. Patton for tickets! Drawing will be held on Monday (during second high school lunch), February 29th (Leap Day!!) We would appreciate your support!! Thanks!!!

  9. The Jostens representative will be in the Bears Den Thursday at 1:35 for ring orders.  Don’t forget to bring your order form and deposit on Thursday.  Checks need to be made payable to Jostens.  Extra ring packets are available in Miss Connie’s office.

  10. The Chad Cargill ACT Workshop on Thursday, March 17 from 8:30-11:30.  The cost to attend is $30 per student.  You need to sign the list on Mrs. Munson's door and pay your fee by Friday.  You can pay with cash or check, made payable to Willow Springs School.

  3. Due to tobacco found on the urinal and toilet, the boys bathroom has been closed for the remainder of February. Boys will not be allowed to use the restroom during class, without specific permission from Mr. Spence's office. If the bathroom remains clear, it will be reopened on March 1.

  4. Congratulations to the following winners for the Repetition/Reflection Photo Contest: 3rd place tie- Amber Headings & Bailey Wagner, 2nd Place Michael Protsenko, and 1st Place-Michael Protsenko.  Our new photo contest posted in the Library is Black & White Abstract, make sure and stop to enjoy the new photos.

  5. For Juniors and Seniors only, there is a music suggestion list for prom hanging up on Mrs. James's window. The list will be up there until Tuesday of next week, so put in your suggestions if you want to dance to your favorite song at prom!

  6. Thursday, February 25th the Spanish Society presents “A Hairy Tale” dinner theater.  Tickets are $10 each.  See Kamisha Worley, Tiana Davis, Travis Weaver or Ms. Griffith to purchase tickets.  You must have a reservation and seats go fast!

WSHS will once again host the Chad Cargill ACT Workshop on Thursday, March 17 from 8:30-11:30.  This workshop is a practical hands-on instruction session that is packed full of relevant, practical information on how to increase your ACT score.  It is NOT, however, a practice test.  It covers general ideas about the ACT as a whole and the individual sections of English, Math, Reading, and Science.  The cost to attend is $30 per student.  You need to sign the list on Mrs. Munson's door and pay your fee by Friday, February 26.  You can pay with cash or check, made payable to Willow Springs School.
