3. Seniors:
If you would like to register to attend the College Fair at West Plains High School on September 14, check your announcements in Ms. Spencer's Canvas class--it tells you how to register. The bus will leave at 9:00 and return at approximately 11:00. All field trip rules will apply - see page 27 of the handbook and you must have a signed field trip permission form on file in the office. 

4. Homework Lab will be held in the HS Library on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays starting Tuesday, Sep. 5.  It will be open from 3:00-4:15 PM each of those days. 

5. National Honor Society meeting for current members only will be held next Tuesday during second lunch.  Members need to check in with Mrs. Wiles BEFORE Tuesday to vote on NHS business.

6. Mrs. Walls needs 2 responsible works to help with concessions this Friday night.  (You must know how to count back change ) See Mrs. Walls if you want to help. 
 
7. FCCLA members don't forget if you are going to Silver Dollar City you need to get signed up! $36 is due to Mrs. Walls by Sept.13th.

8. Friday night, that the football team is selling Decals of the Orange Leukemia ribbon at the game for $5.00 (they will have #twentyseven on them and all proceeds go to Jeff and Bree Lovan) Cabool and Willow Players will also have on orange socks in support of Bree.

9. The volleyball team will be hosting an "orange out" game Tuesday, September 19th vs. Cabool.  All proceeds will go to help Mrs. Lovan with medical expenses.  If you would like to order an Orange out shirt they are $12 and you can stop by Coach James's classroom to order.

1.    7th and 8th Grade students:  Anytime you come to class unprepared by failing to bring one of the class's required materials, including your planner, you receive a Q on that day's attendance report.  Just like Ts for tardies, Qs for unprepareds are counted up by quarter.  A student will serve 1 behavior lunch detention for 5 Qs, 2 more detentions for 7 Qs, 3 more detentions for 10 Qs. and one additional detention for each Q above 10.

2.   If you would like to join Christian Ed, sign up forms are available in the Student Info Center. Return completed forms to the office by Sept. 5th. Christian Ed will start on Tuesday Sept. 5th.

3.   Interested in letting your voice be heard.  Student Council Meeting Friday, September 1st, in the middle school library at 1:30p.m.

4.   6th Grade Tomb Raiders - Make sure to wear tennis shoes and comfy clothing for Tuesday, Sept. 5th.  We will be traveling to our dig site.  In raining, dig site will be moved to another day. Make sure you use the restroom before coming to class...you will not get a chance before and during our visit to the site. 

SPORTS: The YMCA is registering now for Volleyball Camp for 5th-6th graders.  Registration forms are available at the Student Info Center and also the YMCA.  The deadline to sign up is September 13.

5th and 6th Grade Girls: If you are interested in playing Pee Wee Basketball please pick up an information packet at the Student Info Center

3.   The resurfacing project for the volleyball area is taking place.  Playground boundaries will be adjusted as needed in order to accommodate the project.

If everything goes according to schedule the resurfaced area should be open for use TODAY.

1.   The rules on electronic devices (cell phones, IPODs, MP3s, watches with internet connectivity, etc.) cover the entire school day, including our morning arrival time on the playground or in Grimes (when the weather requires us to be inside).  All electronic devices must be turned off and put up before you reach the playground.

2.   The resurfacing project for the volleyball area is taking place.  Playground boundaries will be adjusted as needed in order to accommodate the project.

1.   TODAY is the last day for schedule changes. Unless teacher recommended. 

2.   All 6th grade students, be sure to let your parents know that 6th grade Parent Night is on Tuesday, August 29, at 5:45 p.m. in Grimes Auditorium.  There will be a Band Instrument Show immediately following for all 6th grade Band students and their parents.

3.   Reminder for 8th grade students: Immunizations records need to be turned in ASAP! 

4.   Join Art Club! Open to any 5th-8th grader who likes art.  See Mrs. Pitts, art room, for art form to be taken home to be returned before the first Art Club meeting in September.

SPORTS:
