​1.  Registration is going on now for the YMCA Volleyball Camp which includes 5th & 6th graders.  Registration forms are available at the Student Info Center or you can pick one up at the YMCA.  The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, September 4th by 5:00 p.m.

2.  Friday is the last day to make any schedule changes. See Ms. Clary if you need to change your schedule.

3.  7th and 8th grade boys:  Paper towels go in the trash and only in the trash after you dry your hands in the restroom.  Fix this problem, please.

For Thursday, August 22nd: Scattered thunderstorms, with a high of 79 degrees and a low of 68 degrees.

SPORTS:


5-6 grade cross country practice begins on August 26.  Information can be picked up during your social studies class.

Remember to check your email frequently (i.e. once a day) as the offices will be communicating important information via email. We are trying to cut down on locker notes and interrupting classes to relay a message that can be handled in this manner. If the message is time-sensitive, we will still contact you in person.

Reminder today is the last day to make Schedule Change Request. 

There will be an FBLA Mtg for all current and new FBLA members today, during both lunches in Coach Lee's room.

Students:  Remember we no longer have a 10 minute break and the School Store will only be open before school and at lunch. The store will NOT be open during 5 minute breaks between classes (Not enough time for our workers to open/work/close the store).

The volleyball team will be hosting an alumni scrimmage tomorrow,  in the New Gym. Admission to the scrimmage will be gatorade or granola bars. Come support the volleyball team and see the hard work they have put in!

If you haven't turned your technology user agreement form into Mrs. Jenny by Friday, your computer account will be disabled until you get it turned in. 

Juniors, there is a sign-up list on Ms. Berry's door to work football and softball games, the first of which is this Friday! Please stop by and sign-up! These games help us raise money for prom and every time you work, you get money off of your prom ticket. Other grades can sign-up as well! 

The band is in search of 2 students who are good with technology to be in marching band. This will be for both video and sound technology. If interested please see Mr. Cochran. 

Ms. James still has some extra yearbooks for sale.  $55.

A copy of the Schedule and the Schedule Change Request will be at Ms. Jenny's window. You may pick up a copy of each and be working on your requested changes. You may turn in the Schedule Change Request form today - Wednesday. Reminder: you MUST have signatures from both teachers! Some classes are full so get the signature for the class you want to add BEFORE the signature of the class you want to drop. If you need help reading the schedule or figuring out changes, please go to your GAP advisor (name is at the top of your schedule) or any teacher can help you.

1.  Band  Students that have Gym 7th hour, if you are taking your band instrument home with you, please take your instrument to Gym with you. That way you do not have to come back to the building after class.

2.  Join Art Club!  See Mrs. Pitts in the art room for a permission form.  Must return back to Mrs. Pitts before the first Art Club meeting, Thursday, September 12th.  No permission forms will be accepted the day of Art Club. 

3.  If you would like to join Mighty Might Football it's not to late. Pick up a form in the Student Info Center.

4.  Fall Soccer Sign-Up is going on now. Pick up an information sheet in the Student Info Center. This is for students from age 3 1/2 to 13.

WEATHER:
For Monday, August 17th: Intervals of clouds and sunshine, with a high of 91 degrees and a low of 72 degrees.

SPORTS:
7-8 grade cross country practice begins Today at 3:15 p.m., behind the new gym.  All athletes must have a completed physical in order to practice.

5-6 grade cross country practice begins on August 26.  Information can be picked up during your social studies class.

A $.75 breakfast will be served daily in the commons from 7:30-7:50. Breakfast is not allowed in the classroom or the library.

Students if you wish to have a lock on your locker you must give Mrs. Jenny the   combination or an extra key.

A+ tutors report to the library during your A+ block. Mrs.Cochran will give you your A+ assignment.

You did a pretty good job yesterday, but remember the hallway rules:
Lockers are to be completely closed before you walk away
Hang your bags on the hooks--there are to be NO bags left on the floor
Band instruments go only in designated areas, and keep them neat
If you drop something, pick it up
