  • CONGRATULATIONS TO the varsity boys cross country team on their first place finish at the Berryville Back 40 on Saturday. CONGRATULATIONS TO Cole Chafin (1st), Payton Bushong (7th), Devin Waggoner (10th) & Bethany Waggoner (1st) on their medal-winning performances at the Berryville Back 40 on Saturday.
  • Congratulations to our band for receiving 1st place in class with best music, best visual, and best Effect. The band then went on to finals and competed with the top 12 overall scores from prelims. They received 7th overall! Great job band. They will be competing in Monroe City this Saturday.

Hallway Music: Today- Student Requests

School Picture day is today. Everyone must have their picture taken. Classes will be called down by classroom.

GAP meeting will take place during lunchtime and Bear Time today. Pick up a sack lunch in the bears den either when you hear the all-call or when the bell rings for lunch and then go to your GAP Advisor's location. You can find where your GAP group is meeting by looking at the posters on the window at the entrance to the library.  

Boys: Restroom visits during class time will need to be cleared through the office.

Today is the last day to order your yearbook at the lowest price.

A+, Internship, & Tech Internship students, make sure you're turning in your timesheets. You need to be up to date next Friday because 1st quarter will end the following week on October 11. Internship students, you also have received an email about your 1st quarter assignment that is due next Friday. Please get everything turned in by Oct 7th or you will be put on the List.

1.   On Saturday middle school chess team came in third at the Knights of the Square Table tournament. Abbie Wills, Josiah Wills, Daniel Iacovlev, Vivienne Iacovleva, Isaac Miller, and David Dudko needed just three more points to catch up to the winners. Abbie Wills was in fourth individual place out of 46 players, Josiah Wills was fifth, Daniel Iacovlev was 10th. Keep it up, well done!  
2.   Drama Club will meet Tuesday 5-7
Drama Club t-shirt orders due Wednesday, September 25.  Order forms are in the student info center  
3.   Art Club will meet again Thursday, October 3rd, 3:00-5:00.  Remind your parents and prompt pick up at 5:00 is a must.
4.   Sports Picture day will be Wednesday September 25th, after school. Coaches will hand out picture forms.
5.   School Picture day will be Friday, September 27th. Picture forms were sent home, if you still need one see Ms. Stacey at the office.

Congratulations to the high school chess team, they came in second at the Knights of the Square Table tournament on Saturday. Drake Marshell, Patrick Burch, Owen Moore, Colton Wood, and Gabe Story were only half a point shy of the winners West Plains. Drake Marshell was fourth, Patrick Burch fifth. Thank you for a solid performance!

There will be an FFA officer meeting today in the conference room during both lunches.

There will be a mandatory FBLA meeting during first lunch only, tomorrow in Mrs Lee's room.  We need all members to attend.

This week is Spirit Week for Homecoming! There will be a dress-up theme for each day.  Please note as with all Spirit Weeks before ,no face painting, or glitter allowed.  Hats will be permitted when they fit the day's theme.  Students will be expected to be 100%  cooperative with teacher direction in all cases when hats need to be removed during class. 
      The theme this year is "Storm Area 51", the Panther Den.

Congratulations to Jaden Minton on her medal winning performance in the JV girls race at the West Plains Cross Country Invitational on Tuesday.  Jaden finished 9th.

Juniors - With homecoming fun comes the homecoming game! Ms. Berry still needs a couple of workers for Friday in the concession stand. If you are free and want some money off of your prom ticket, come by and sign up!

Voting for Homecoming Queen begins TODAY and will close at midnight Thursday. All high school students may choose one of the senior candidates to be crowned the 2019 Homecoming Queen! Ballots are in your email!

Concert choir members must meet during first block on Friday in the choir room.

Attention Interact Club Members! Please come by Mrs. Miller's room to pay your $3 dues.  There is also a new volunteer opportunities coming up this week, please sign up if you can.  Also, if you missed the first meeting, it is not too late to join!  Talk to Mrs. Miller or listen in the bulletin for an announcement of our next meeting.  Spoiler alert:  It is October 2nd

MIDDLE SCHOOL:

2.   School Picture Day will be on Friday September 27th. 

3.   Next week is Spirit Week for Homecoming! There will be a dress-up theme for each day.  Please note as with all Spirit Weeks before ,no face painting, or glitter allowed.  Hats will be permitted when they fit the day's theme.  Students will be expected to be 100%  cooperative with teacher direction in all cases when hats need to be removed during class. 

The theme this year is "Storm Area 51", the Panther Den. 
Tuesday-Tin Foil Hats, Wear a tin foil hat.
Wednesday- Aliens vs Hunters. Wear camo to blend in.
Thursday- Men in Black.  Dress all in black.
Friday- Storm the panther den.  Wear maroon and white.

4.   Art Club will meet Thursday, September 12th.

Interact Club meeting tomorrow during both lunches in Mrs. Miller’s room. 

Drama club play auditions will be after school tomorrow in the spanish room.

FCCLA & FBLA members, if you plan on attending the Silver Dollar City Career Day, the money is due Friday. You can give your money to Ms. Bell or Mrs. Lee.

Pep club meeting in Ms. James' room Friday during first lunch. 

Ms. Berry still needs a couple of concession stand workers for the game on Friday. If you would like to sign up, stop by her room soon!

High school drivers: Please be aware of parents dropping students off for school in the morning in front of the middle school. Be extremely cautious when driving through the school campus, as we have many children trying to get to school.

Internship and A+ students, get your timesheets turned in today. Progress grades are due next week. You will be added to the Bear Recovery list on Tuesday if your timesheets are not up to date.

All students enrolled in dual credit courses through MSU-West Plains: the representative will be here on Tuesday, from 10-11 to set up your accounts. There will be an all call to release you to the library that day!

Drama club play auditions will be after school on Tuesday in spanish room.

2.   7th grader Emma Wiles is the first, Mr. Henry's pick, "Artist of the Month" for this school year.  Please stop by to look at her artwork hanging on the wall in front of Mrs. Clary's office.  Awesome job Emma! 

3.   Drama Club will meet next Tuesday, September 10th for 7th and 8th grade students, forms are available in the Student Info Center.  Practice will be from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m on Tuesdays in Grimes.
