Today is a Maroon Day

1.  "All students must remember to use the conditioning equipment on the playground (i.e. the pull-down, the leg press, and the chest press) as instructed at the beginning of the school year.  In particular, those using this equipment must ease the bars back into their resting positions when finished rather than simply letting go and allowing them to slam back into place.  This damages the equipment that we want to keep available  and in good shape for all who use it."

2.   **Student council proudly presents this year’s Candy Grams are officially going on sale Monday, November 28th through Friday, December 9th.  *Buy one for a friend or staff member, and a student council member will deliver it sometime during the week of December 12th. The cost is $1.00 per Candy Gram.  If interested, please see the designated teacher for your grade:

5th grade:  Mrs. Rackley
6th grade:  Mrs. Spencer or Mrs. Earls
7th grade:  Mrs. Brotherton
8th grade:  Mrs. Yost
Please check with your grade level teacher to determine a good time period during the day to stop by and purchase a candy gram. 

3.  Art Club Christmas Party will be held Thursday, December 15th 3-5:00 p.m. Bring finger food, a $1 gift for a gift exchange, and  wear your ugliest Christmas t-shirt or sweater if you want to participate in the contest.  We will not be meeting Thursday, December 8th.

4. How would you like to win; $30,000 college scholarship, $50,000 technology for your middle school, a trip to Google Headquarters, a Chromebook and Android tablet?  Enter the Doodle for Google Design Drawing Contest.  See Mrs. Pitts for entry instructions and form.  Open to all 6th - 8th grade students.  November 22nd is the deadline to submit drawings with form to Mrs. Pitts.

3.    Skeeter Kell will be in the commons area at 11:00 on Tuesday to deliver letter jackets.  Check the list on Mrs. James’ office window for amounts due.  Check will need to be made payable to Skeeter Kell Sporting Goods.

3.  Artist of the Month:  8th grade - McKenna Cox and 6th grade Bailey Loman.  Their artwork is on display in the 7th grade hall.  Congrats ladies!

2.     EXCITING NEWS SENIORS!  Dual credit speech will be available this spring.  You will take the same speech class as required by all seniors, however, you now have the opportunity for it to also count as your college-level Public Speaking class.  Tuition will be $90 for the 3-credit class.  If interested, sign the list on Mrs. Munson's door before we leave TODAY.

3.     ATTENTION JUNIORS that signed up for the ASVAB scoring session with Sgt. Hughes:  We will be splitting into two sessions, with the first session beginning at 9:50.  The second session will begin at approximately 10:30.  You can find the list with your assigned time on Mrs. Munson's door.   An all-call will be made for the second session dismissal.

4.     The Bears for a Better Christmas 5K & 1 mile will be Saturday, December 10, at Palenske Field.  The event will be divided into 3 races:
·         5K run for all ages
·         1 mile run for ages 12 & under
·         **NEW THIS YEAR!** 1 mile walk for ages 13 & over
All entries received by December 1, will receive a t-shirt.  See Miss Connie for an entry form.
