2.  Today there will be NO after school reading with Mrs. Owens or regular tutoring for 6th grade.

3.  The last day for classes will be this Wednesday. This will be a FULL DAY, not a half day!

5.  Students with 0 ZAPs or 1 ZAP during 2nd quarter will attend a reward activity this week.  As announced in the Bulletin at the beginning of the quarter, students with 2 or more ZAPs who later had ZAPs forgiven to bring their total below 2 are not eligible.  The reward activity will occur in Grimes at the following times:  
TODAY at 1:10-3:00:  Grades 7 and 8
Wednesday, December 21, at 1:10-3:00:  Grades 5 and 6

7."Kid's Helping CASA Help Kids" Art Contest-Deadline February 1, 2017.    Pick up a form and instructions from Mrs. Pitts.

6.    Our very own Mr. Cochran, his family, and his business of raising and training British Labrador retrievers will be featured on an upcoming episode of Gun Dog TV. The episode called "Meet Joey" will air on Tuesday, December 27th at 6:30 pm on the Outdoor Channel.  Be sure to set your TV’s and watch. 

7.    Time is running out to get your yearbook at the lowest price this year.  Order by Wednesday and yearbooks are still $45.  After break they will be $50.  Order online from jostens.com or see Miss Tina, Miss Connie or Ms. Spencer for an order form.  Checks should be made to Willow Springs High School.

8.    Don’t forget to stop by Miss Tina’s office window to sign up for Rebecca Davis’ senior project. . .Poetry Slam.   Deadline to enter is January 5th.  For further information check the flyers around school or see Rebecca.

9.    Reminder: Wednesday, December 21 will be a FULL day of school, NOT a half-day.  Christmas Break will run from December 22nd – January 2nd.  Class will resume on Tuesday, January 3rd, and it will be a MAROON day.

8.  The FBLA Food Harvest will once again take place this year now through Wednesday December 14th. Boxes will be placed in the Social Studies room of each grade. The grade that contributes the most food will receive a treat. 

9.  The parents of one of our WS students are going to be making a trip to Gatlinburg on December 19th with a U-Haul trailer in tow.  Their goal is to fill the trailer with as many of the following relief items for families suffering losses from the fires there:       

New or used clothing, shoes, coats, etc.
Non-perishable food items
Toiletries
Water
Soda
Blankets, sheets, etc.
Baby items
Gift cards
(No big items please.) 
If you would like to contribute any items to their load, please bring them to Cheryl Tyler in Room 200 of the Middle School by next Friday, Dec. 16th.  Thank you.

5.    There WILL BE a dance following Friday night's Hoop Queen game in the Bear's Den after the game until 11:30.  Admission is $3 per person. 

6.    If you registered to take the December 10 ACT here at Willow Springs, you should have received an email from ACT with your new testing center assignment.  Since there were not at least 16 students registered to test at this location, they have moved you to a different testing center.  You will need to print your new admission ticket to take with you on Saturday.  If you have questions, see Mrs. Munson.  

7.    Don’t forget we are collecting canned goods and money for Food Harvest, the top GAP group will receive a pizza party. Results so far….1st Kuhlmeier, 2nd Grogan, 3rd Walls

8.    Found: MP3 Player. . .see Miss Connie to claim.

9.    There are a few extra t-shirts from the Dog Jog 5K.  Shirts are $12 each.  There are limited sizes so get one while you can.  All proceeds will go towards The Humane Society of the United States.  

10.    Attention all Spanish Club members:  Ms. Griffith needs your t-shirt size by Friday.  No t-shirt NO trip to SDC at the end of the school year.

1.  SPIRIT WEEK FOR HOOP QUEEN! The theme this year is: "We Make The Magic"

     TODAY- Bambi, Trophy Thursday- Come to school in camo like your hunting, or dress like a deer if you prefer.

     Friday- Grandmother Willow- Wants you to wear Maroon and White. She's all about Bear Pride.

     ****Please note with all other Spirit weeks before, no face painting allowed. Hats will be permitted when they fit a particular day's theme. Students will be expected to be 100% cooperative with teacher direction in all cases when hats need to be removed during class.

2.  TODAY is Drama Club, we will be taking pictures.

3.  NO ART Club Meeting today.

4.  Parents Pottery Night glazing will take place this Friday, Dec. 9th 3:30-5:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10th, 9:00-12:00 in the art room.
