Wednesday Vision:
During Bulletin announcements please remind the students of the THINK strategy that was the focus of last week's vision topic: before you speak, ask yourself is it True, is it Helpful, is it Inspiring, is it Necessary, is it Kind?Tell them that this strategy is a great way to apply the Bear Paw of being
"respectful"; then share this definition of respectful: "thinking and acting in a positive way about yourself and others; showing others that you care about their feelings". Finally, conclude today's vision topic by having students practice THINKing of some respectful things to say. Have them work with a partner to brainstorm what to say to a classmate experiencing one of the following feelings:
feeling disappointed about a grade on a recent test
feeling embarrassed about missing a play that could have helped their team win a game at recess
feeling angry that they will not be able to go to a special event because of a family commitment
