1.  Certain students need to report to the 3rd floor Computer Lab during M4 on Tuesday, February 28 to take a STAR Reading or Math test.

2.  If you are currently in 8th Grade and you would like to try out for HS Cheerleading for the 2017-2018 school year, please stop at the office and pick up a tryout form. 

3.  NO Tutoring this Wednesday.

4.  This Friday is the last day to order a Year Book!

5.  Drama Club will meet this Thursday.

6.  The Middle School Scholastic Book Fair will be held Monday, March 6-Friday March 10 from 8AM-3PM each day.  We will also stay open on Tuesday, March 7 from 3-6 PM for parent night. Remember, early in the week is the best time to shop because the book you want might get sold out!!! 
7.  The deadline to take your tenth quiz on either a Mark Twain or Harry Truman award nominated book so you can go on the field trip is Friday, March 10, at 3 p.m.  

8.  YMCA Youth Baseball and Softball forms are available in the Student Info Center. Registration deadline is March 8th.

2.    Internship students need to stop by Miss Connie’s office and pick up your 3rd quarter assignment.

3.    Math and Science Relays are coming up Thursday night.  Get your permission forms turned in to Mr. Hummel ASAP.  Students need to meet in the commons area when released at 2:30 Thursday.  Make sure and bring money for food.  Any questions see Mr. Hummel or Mrs. Lee.

4.    Anyone wanting to try out for cheerleading for the 2017-18 school year, needs to pick a packet up from Connie. This tryout will be for football and basketball (there will only be one tryout). 

5.    Congratulations to the WS Lady Bears Softball Team on their selection as an 2016/17 Academic All-State Team. (To be honored as an Academic All-State Team the team must meet these requirements:
 all players on the varsity team have a cumulative GPA of 3.3.) 

Congratulations to players that earned Academic All-State Individual Honors: Emily Fair, Alexa Fredrick, 
Bella Melvin, Sydney Miller, Grace Minge, Devin Perkins, Krysta Rader, Kaitlynn Woody.  (To be honored as an Academic All-State Individual the player must meet these requirements: Only Sophomores, Juniors, & Seniors are eligible & must have a GPA of 3.50-4.0. They must also attain one of the two following requirements.  Either be ranked in the top 25% of her class or score a 24 on the ACT.)

2.  WS chess team will be leaving for the Alton tournament tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. from the new gym.

3.  The following 8th graders need to assemble in the Upper Lab at the beginning of M-4 to meet with the HS counselor regarding freshmen schedules

YOU MUST CHECK IN WITH YOUR M4 TEACHER BEFORE COMING TO THE LIBRARY. Eligible 5th and 6th graders will have their party from 2:30-3:00 PM. 5th and 6th graders, make sure you bring all of your stuff to go home.

•    If you plan to bring a guest that does not currently attend WSHS you need to get your paperwork started and submitted ASAP for approval.  Mrs. Brower and Miss Tina have the forms.

•    You must tell Mrs. Brower if you attending project prom or not when you buy your tickets. You also should mention if you have any food allergies or special dietary meal restrictions.

8.    Willow Springs YMCA….Special Event!!  Makeup With Anna Dudko

Come join us on March 21 at the W.S. High School Library from 6:00-8:00 p.m. where Anna Dudko will be demonstrating full face makeup application techniques on a model.  This class will help women of all ages develop their skills in applying makeup.  She will show her many tips & tricks for creating a flawless face!!   Snacks will be provided along with a goody bag.

11.    Are you interested in the field of pharmacy?  UMKC is hosting a Pharmacy Camp this summer for students who have finished Grade 9 or higher.  You will learn about the field of pharmacy, how to become a pharmacist, engage with current faculty and participating pharmacists, do hands-on experiments in the lab, participate in social/networking activities with current students and experience what it's like to be a Pharm D student at UMKC.  The camp is offered on June 16 in Springfield, June 23 in Kansas City, or July 7 in Columbia.  See Mrs. Munson if you are interested and would like to register.

12.    Jordan Phelps senior project is an adoption day with West Plains Regional Animal Shelter on Saturday from 12:00-3:00.  Any questions see Jordan.

2.    Yearbooks are still on sale.  Get yours before the price goes up!  They are $50 until March 31, then they go up to $55.  Order from Ms. Spencer or online at jostens.com.  If you order at school, checks must be made payable to Willow Springs High School.

3.    Don’t forget to get your tickets to the “Curse of the Cobra’s Kiss”.  Tickets are $6 in advance and $8 at the door (dessert and drink included).  Show times are Thursday and Friday at 6:30 in Grimes Auditorium.  See Ms. Griffith or Miss Connie to purchase tickets.  Tickets are selling fast so get your reservation NOW!

4.    Juniors that wish to apply to MO Boys/Girls State should have the completed application to Mrs. Munson by 3:00 Thursday.

5.    Sophomores:  If you plan on attending SCCC (vo-tech) next year you will need to complete an application for approval.  You can pick up an application from Mrs. Munson and must be returned by Friday.
