2.    The College Fair at West Plains High School is September 8 from 9:00 - 10:00.  The bus will leave at 8:20 and return around 10:30.  Any senior that would like to attend needs to sign the list on Mrs. Munson's door by Tuesday, September 6 at 3:00.  You will need to also make sure you have a field trip permission form signed and on file in the office before you will be allowed to attend.

3.    What do First Lady Patricia Nixon, Miss Missouri 1998 Deborah McDonald, entertainer Johnny Mathis, and Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Troy Aikman have in common?  They were all members of FBLA and you can be too! See Mrs. Patton or Mrs. Pettit to pay your dues ($25) by September 16.

4.    Board Game Club: Game night this Friday the featured game is Axis and Allies. Sign up in Mr. Wickens room ASAP so the club can make the proper arrangements for food and drinks. If you missed the first meeting no worries come by and sign up.

5.    Pep Club we will be attending the softball game Thursday night at 4:30 and then the volleyball game following the varsity softball game.  Please help support our Lady Bear athletes.  Theme night for the games is "We are going on a safari". So, break out your khaki and beige to help capture a win against the Lions and Wildcats.

2.     School pictures are TODAY.  We will start by classrooms and see how many we can get done during fifth block (hopefully this will cause less interruption).  Then we will be doing all calls during sixth block for the remainder of the students to have their picture taken.  EVERYONE MUST HAVE THEIR PICTURE TAKEN INCLUDING FACULTY.  Thanks for your cooperation.

3.     Ms. Spencer's Bear Time students need to report to Mr. Knapp's room TODAY--make sure you take something to do.

1.  The MS Cheerleaders will practice Wednesday from 3:15-5:15 in the Old Gym. Please let Ms. Tyler know your t-shirt size and bring in your t-shirt money ASAP.

Do you want to speak out, be heard, and help make a difference in our school?  Do you like the challenge of leadership, want to help organize school events, and be part of a fun group?  Well, Keep Calm and Join Student Council!!

Any student interested in running for Student Council office will meet in the middle school library on Thursday, September 1, during W8 at 1:30 for a short informational meeting.  Letters of Intent to run for Student Council will be distributed.  We hope to see you there!

3. Anyone interested in attending the " Christian Education Class at the Bible House", sign-up sheets are available at the Student Info Station. You must have a signed permission slip to attend. Classes start Sept. 5th.

4. Do you love art? Join the Middle School Art Club team.  The club meets every second and third Thursday of each month after school. Pick up a permission form from Mrs. Pitts, art room.

9.    Bear Socks are here! The junior class is selling awesome Bear socks as a fundraiser.  There is a display in Mrs. James window and in Mrs. Brower's room if you would like to see them.  They are high quality and woven long socks in a great design that can be worn for any season.  Only $12 per pair and sizes are available in XS (kids), small, medium, large, and XL. Get them while they are in stock (in Mrs. Brower's room or the football concession stand)!

10.    See Miss Connie for an order form if you are interested in ordering a softball or CC t-shirt.  Orders are due Friday.  

11.    Board Game Club meeting in Mr. Wickens' room during both lunches this Friday

12.    Students!  Picture forms are being handed in your Language Arts classes.  You should have received one yesterday or today.  If you were absent when they were handed out see your teacher for a form.

                 Everyone will have pictures taken.  Picture day is next Tuesday, Aug. 30th.
