6th Grade science club will be every Wednesday until 4:30 starting September 21st. 6th graders interested need to turn in the form to me before the 21st to be eligible, I will be limiting the club to 20 members. - Mrs. Welch
If you are interested in designing the cover of this year's yearbook. You are in luck! There will be a contest and the best design wins. Rules and information located at the student info center
Mrs. White and Mrs. Lewis will be starting an after school program for 5th and 6th grade called Bears' Cares Club. This club will focus on learning about and serving our community. We will be carrying out various acts of kindness throughout the school and community. If you would be interested in participating, pick up an "I Can Be a Leader" application from Mrs. White or Mrs. Lewis. Because we will be going out into the community, there will be a limited number of members. Participation will be determined by your application. Applications must be turned into Mrs. White or Mrs. Lewis by Friday, September 30th.
Cheer practice will be Wednesday from 3:15-5:15 p.m. and Thursday after school until the game. Cheerleaders will need to bring food for dinner on Thursday

Last Saturday Willow chess team traveled to West Plains for the annual Knights of the Square table tournament. Our high school team came in third overall, with Drake Marshell getting second individual spot, Isaac Miller was eighth, and Vivienne Iacovleva was tenth. Great job! Next tournament is October 22 in Willow.
Make sure you are checking the Counselor's Corner in Canvas for upcoming trip opportunities. At this time there are none for freshmen but all others have an event.
There will be a meeting for Freshman Student Council and any other freshman wanting to help with the homecoming parade float in Mrs. Combs's room today during Bear Time. There is a sign-up sheet on her door for anyone interested.

FCCLA Meeting tomorrow during the second lunch/beartime. If you are going on the Silver Dollar City Trip you need to attend this meeting.

Friday there will be a meeting for Sophomores to create the Sophomore Homecoming Float in the Choir Room after school until 4:15.
The Guitar Club will not be meeting Friday.

Vo Tech students, if you are staying for the Homecoming parade, you must let Mrs. Jenny know by Friday.
Homecoming Dance Guest Request forms are available in Mrs. Jenny's office. Forms must be returned no later than 9/27.
The Willow Springs Arts Councils will be hosting a Selfie 101 workshop at the Ferguson Building on Sept. 24th from 1:00-3:00, cost is $15, bring a cell phone.
