During morning arrival on the playground before 8:00 a.m., all tag games are limited to the area from the telephone poles on down toward the Old Gym end of the playground. Students are not allowed to play tag past the telephone poles.
1. 7th graders participating in the spelling bee need to report to Mr. Smith's room TODAY at the beginning of M4 for the qualifying bee. Bring your materials for your M4 class with you as you will return to your regular class immediately after the bee.
2. Student council meeting on Monday, March 7th, in Mrs. Nielsen's room from 3:15 - 4:00.3. The deadline to take (and pass) your 10th quiz on the Twain/Truman books is Thursday, March 10th at 3 PM. DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE, PLEASE!
4. Eighth grade students interested in trying out for high school cheerleading for the 2016-2017 school year can pick up a packet from Alice.
5. Tomorrow is the last day to order yearbooks! Yearbooks cost $20 and will be available to order until March 4th.
6. The YMCA is registering now for the Boys 9-10 and 11-12 year old baseball and the Girls 9-10 and 11-13 year old softball programs for this summer. Forms can be picked up at the YMCA or the Student Information Center in the Middle School. The registration deadline is March 9th.
7. Students interested in participating in Upward Soccer Program can find information at the Student Info Center.
8. Any MS students interested participating in St. Louis University's Summer Reading Skills online program can find information at the Student Info Center.
9. IT'S BASEBALL SEASON!!!! WS Bears baseball shirt orders are now being taken. Information and order forms are at the Student Info Center. Orders are due Wednesday, March 9th.
10. Art Club will meet Thursday, March 17th, 3:00-5:00 p.m.
11. Remember the BEAR BOX in the office! If you have concerns about how you or another student is being treated, suggestions for our Middle School, or even a 'Thank You' write a note and put it in the Bear Box. Remember to put your name on the note.
12. Please remember to pick up any work you print to the computer lab. We are having a lot of paper wasted with work left on the printers.
