On Wednesday, September 30, 2020, the Willow Springs School District was informed by the Howell County Health Department of a positive Covid-19 test of a staff member at the high school. Contact tracing has been completed for this individual and any person who had close contact has been contacted and provided specific guidance.
On Monday, September 28, 2020 the Willow Springs School District was informed by the Howell County Health Department of a school bus driver testing positive for Covid-19. Contact tracing was not necessary due to adherence to social distancing guidelines.
On Tuesday, September 29, 2020 the Willow Springs School District was informed by the Howell County Health Department of a positive Covid-19 case of an adult who works at Willow Springs High School. Contact tracing has been completed for this individual and any person who had close contact has been contacted and provided specific guidance. This person also attended the Willow Springs football game Friday, September 25, 2020. Although the risk of exposure at the football game is considered low, it is recommended those who attended the game monitor for symptoms. On Friday, September 25, 2020 the Willow Springs School District was informed by the Howell County Health Department of a positive Covid-19 case of an adult working at Willow Springs High School. Contact tracing was not necessary as there was no risk of exposure at the school due to appropriate physical distancing.
On Thursday, September 17, 2020 the Willow Springs School District was informed by the Howell County Health Department of three positive Covid-19 cases involving two high school students and a staff member at the elementary school. Contact tracing was not necessary as there was no risk of exposure at either of the two schools.
The free summer meal program has started! It is for all children 18 years of age and under. Even if you do not attend a Willow Springs school, you can still receive free meals. The curbside pickup is each day at 11:15 am at the turnaround in front of the elementary school. Please call (417) 252-6103 a day ahead to reserve your meal(s).

Contact tracing has been completed for this individual and any person who had close contact at school has been contacted and provided specific guidance.
Over the weekend, the Willow Springs School District was informed by the Howell County Health Department of four positive cases of individuals at the high school and one at the elementary school. Contact tracing has been completed for each of these individuals and any person who had close contact with these individuals have been or will be contacted and provided specific guidance.
The Willow Springs R-IV Schools is announcing we will extend the annual summer food service program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Free meals are available to all children in the Willow Springs school district aged 18 and younger from September 14, 2020 through December 31, 2020. Breakfast and lunch will be served daily Monday through Friday for seated classes in each school.
Free lunches will also be provided by curbside pickup Monday through Friday at 11:15 am at the elementary school. The curbside pickup will be for children aged 18 and younger who reside in the Willow Springs school district but are currently not enrolled or are doing distance learning. If you would like to pick up meals, please call (417) 252-6103 and tell us how many meals you will be picking up each day. On Thursday, September 10, 2020 the Willow Springs School District was informed by the Howell County Health Department of an individual at Willow Springs Middle School and another individual with the district's transportation department testing positive for Covid-19. Contact tracing has been completed and any person who had close contact with these individuals has been contacted and provided specific guidance.
On Wednesday, September 9, 2020 the Willow Springs School District was informed by the Howell County Health Department of a positive Covid-19 case of a student attending Willow Springs High School. Contact tracing has been completed for that student and any person who had close contact with this individual has been contacted and provided specific guidance.
